Describes motivation process for creativity with emphasis on intrinsic motivation by Corey K Katir

She’s quickly closing in on her due date and, in celebration of her impending motherhood, Kristin Cavallari was treated to a festive baby shower on Saturday afternoon (May 19).

Held at a private Hollywood residence, the 25-year-old reality star was joined by around thirty guests including former “The Hills” co-stars Heidi Montag and Stephanie Pratt.

The momma-to-be covered up her burgeoning bump in a cute black maxi dress while she and her fellow partygoers noshed on Pink Salt Event Cuisine catered sweets including green and blue frosted cupcakes and a starry themed three-tier sponge cake.

Of the scene, a source told People magazine, “It was the perfect weather for a fun celebration. Kristin arrived with her mom. She looked stunning in a black dress with her hair in a ponytail. She was smiling and seemed very excited about celebrating her baby. Guests seemed to enjoy the shower as well and there was a lot of laughter.”

With Kristin and her baby daddy, NFL QB Jay Cutler, being gifted with items ranging from strollers and high chairs to blankets and bath toys, another insider dished to Us magazine, “Kristin was glowing and gorgeous. She looked so happy! Guys were there, too. It was co-ed.”

Plenty of talent and questions at Red Sox camp
From nypost.com Where’s Kernan?

THINGS I SEE AND HEAR: Biggest scowl of spring training Iave seen so far belongs to Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon. He’s got a one-year, $12 million contract and heas definitely got a chip on his shoulder. Bobby Jenks is in town and Daniel Bard is the closer-in-waiting. Love the fact Pap was wearing this t-shirt the other day: aDoubt Me.aa

He will probably have a huge year.

Alfredo Aceves would love to stick it to the Yankees this year as a member of the Red Sox. Aceves has impressed everyone early in Bostonas camp. Like always, though, the question for Aceves is, Will his back hold up? If it does, he is really going to help the Red Sox because he is fearless and can pitch in any role. Confidence can take you a long way in this game.

So, just how did Mr. Ed do that?

When word came that Sandy Koufax was again visiting Mets camp, our favorite radio guy, WBZas Jonny Miller, immediately dug up a YouTube classic of Mr. Ed, the horse, of course, hitting a rocket off Koufax with Mr. Ed sliding safely into home for an inside the park home run.

Red Soxas chemistry appears to be impressive, but it will be interesting to see how Carl Crawford deals with such scrutiny of his game. David Ortiz will be a positive influence on him.

aIave always tried to help other players,aa Big Papi told me. aThatas just the way I am.aa

Ortiz is close with Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez and it was A-Rod who helped Ortiz get out of his early season funk last year.

THINGS I THINK I KNOW: Who knows how Terry Francona is going to make out his lineup but I like this one: 1. Crawford 2. Pedroia 3. Gonzalez 4. Youkilis 5. Ortiz 6. Drew 7. Saltalamacchia 8. Scutaro 9. Ellsbury.

Crawford, evidently, has it in his head that he is better suited for a 2 or 3 hitter than a leadoff hitter. Iam all for that. If Jacoby Ellsbury shows he can bat leadoff and play more than 18 games this year (heas on the new NFL schedule) then I go with this lineup: 1. Ellsbury 2. Pedroia 3. Crawford 4. Gonzalez 5. Youkilis 6. Ortiz 7. Drew 8. Saltalamacchia 9. Scutaro.

Any way you slice it, thatas some powerful lineup. Itas good to see the Red Sox have become Evil Empire II, if you catch my drift. And Iam not just talking about the $142 million spent on Crawford. Consider the Red Sox handed Ellsbury a $2.4 million deal after his brief 18-game season in 2010. Ellsbury was cut down by injuries and there were a lot of thoughts out there concerning his willingness to play, his toughness and so forth. Asked about all that Ellsbury, used this line several times: aIam moving on.aa

After several of those answers, the Boston Globeas Dan Shaughnessy asked the Question of the Week. He wanted to know if Ellsbury had watched the NFL playoffs. Ellsbury answered yes, Shaughnessy brought up Jay Cutler and the fact the QB was criticized for coming out of a playoff game (by tweeting NFLers) with a knee injury. Did Ellsbury have any thoughts on how Cutler was treated?

Ellsbury chuckled and said, aYeah, I did. No real comment on that, either. I sound like a broken recorder.aa

It never hurts to ask.

Amazing that so many Red Sox are talking about winning 100 games this year, considering itas only been done three times in the teamas history. Philliesa Jimmy Rollins was talking about winning 100 games this year. too. Phillies have won 100 games twice, 1976 and 1977. The Phillies have a much easier task in the NL East on the Road to 100 because they get to play the Mets while the Red Sox have to battle the Yankees and Rays.

Time to catch more baseball and sun.
